The Books of Venice is a series of drawings and photgraphs, which have been created while Ilmars Blumbergs was working in Venice, Italy. Those artworks along with several installations were a part of the personal exhibition in Oratorio di San Ludovico, Venice, in 2004.

The Books of Venice project was supported by Mr.Maris Bensons and all the income from the sales of the books was donated for the construction of the Latvian National Library.

The Books of Venice were published in 500 exclusive copies, every one of them numbered and signed by the author.
